- Wedding: April 2012
I am planning my wedding timeline and here’s the situation.
Ceremony time is at noon at a Catholic church. Mass is going to be 1 hour to 1.30 hour the longest because there is another wedding at 2pm so we have to be out by then.
There’s a small garden outside the church so I think it will be nice to take pictures there, so maybe takes another hour for pictures.
Our reception is going to be at the venue by the water that is about 15 minutes drive from the church.
My concern is, what time should I have my reception? The venue let me to have the reception at anytime as long as it doesn’t exceed 6 hours.
I really want to start the reception right after the ceremony so the guests don’t have to go home and come back again (plus the venue is only 6 miles from the church), but then would put the ceremony starts at around 3pm? If so, what kind of food should I serve? Have anyone ever done wedding at the afternoon like that?
Note: my wedding is gonna be in April, California.
