- Wedding: December 2014
So Fiance and I wanted a small, intimate wedding. We are inviting around 45 guests. The bridal party includes my sister and his sister as bridesmaids and his brother as groomsman. We are skipping several more traditional wedding things like the bouquet/garter toss, receiving line, flower girl/ring bearer, toasts, and dancing. We will have a first dance and are considering a mother-son and father-daughter dance still. So pretty much it’s a ceremony followed by dinner, and we will have our dance and cut cake.
We do plan to do a first look. The photographer suggested doing that 2 hours before the wedding. Ceremony starts at 5:00. So we will do first look and the majority of our wedding photos in this 2 hour time frame. We only have the photographer for 6 hours total. One hour she is alloting for getting ready and detail shots.
So how do you cover first look, wedding photos, ceremony, dinner, dances, and cake cutting in 5 hours? Or am I totally out of my mind and it’s completely do-able? FIs mom is a photographer and seems to think it should be okay, I just don’t want to be rushed. What is the best timeline to accomplish all of this?
