  • Father walking bride down the aisle — yes
  • Throwing the bouquet of flowers — No, I was mortified when I caught my friends’ bouquet, and I don’t want anyone feeling like that at my wedding.  Same thing goes for the garter toss!
  • Best man speeches — If they want to they can.
  • Emotional first dance — Emotional?  yes
  • Bride and groom cutting the cake — yes

  • Party favors — maybe
  • Bouquet of flowers for mothers of bride and groom — yes.  I’m doing brooch bouquets for my BMs and planned on making ones for our mothers too.
  • Group photos — yes

‘outdated’ traditions…

  • having a drink before walking down the aisle — yes!!
  • asking the bride’s father for permission — he didn’t ask.  my parents joke about it, but they didn’t mind.
  • changing into going-away suits for honeymoons that immediately follows — no
  • throwing confetti and decorating cars with “just married” signs — yes!
  • carrying brides over threshold — yes

* Emotional first dance: It’s a heartfelt song…not a tear jerker, lol!

* Party favors: Yes, a dessert table, yummy!
* Bouquet of flowers for mothers of bride and groom: Bouts our moms.

And the ‘outdated traditions
* having a drink before walking down the aisle: No…but would like to!
