It really depends what’s available in your area.

My total is coming out just over 10K. Here’s the breakdown of my costs (does not include travel costs to destination wedding). Some are estimates, some are already set in stone.

 

GENERAL EXPENSES:

Brides’s dress + alterations    $1500
Fiance’s clothes (linen shirt & khakis)    $100
Bridesmaids Gifts    $150
Groomsmen Gifts    $150

DESTINATION WEDDING:

Wedding Lunch (20 people)    $500

RECEPTION:

Food ($13 per person)    $1300

18% Service Charge    $700

Centerpeices    $250 (hurricane vases will be sold after the wedding)

@SoontobeMrsA -It’s the in-house catering at the reception venue. The $13 per person buffet is one entree, two sides, tossed or caesar salad, and rolls with butter.

 

@ FutureHarp  – I got them from Hobby Lobby when glassware was 50% off. I can’t remember how much they were exactly, they were either 14.99 or 19.99 each originally, so I got them for either $7.50 or $10 each.

Oh yeah, mine will be WAY under 10K.  Not sure by how much but I’m looking to be under 5K. With me making almost everything, I should be able to keep it between 5 and 10.  Making the dresses alone will cut that amount down big time.

Mine is going to be about 8k. $1712 for pictures, 189.99/300 carnations, 766.12 dress and headpiece, 251 invitations, 159 his wedding band, 18 license, 425 dj, 275 for site, 3328 food and drinks. Some other stuff I’m waiting to hear final cost on so all of that is 7124.11. Oh, and my fabric bouquet off Etsy is 197!

I’m shooting for under $10k. So far: 

Venue: $642
Alcohol Permit: $50
Bridal suite in mansion: $50
photography: $1750 (We are really getting a great deal because Mr. Tattoo is redoing their website. The package was originally $4500) 
Catering: The cheapest quote I have got was $22/person from an awesome catering/restaurant. 

So right now: $2492 (that is the price we have paid for contracted vendors.) 

I think my white garden chairs are $2 a piece so for about 150 people $300. Then tent quote was $550 I believe. Tables are $5.50

The caterer has the linens and table top stuff. I think I can stretch the remaining $7500. Invites will be cheap since Mr. Tattoo will do all the designs. We are doing electronic save the dates for free. My  dress will be under $600. I don’t want to spend more than $500 on flowers and we’ll be going through fiftyflowers.com and afloral.com to get supplies. We will stock up on wine and beer through a wholeseller here in the city. Yeah…we should be okay.

SoontobeMrsA: Everything! The only things I am not hand doing is the corset (because I can’t find the boning here), necklace, 1 earring (I will make the other one) and the shoes. Everything else I’ll do myself. My girls jewelry and their dresses are my gift to them.  I run a handmade business so it’s kinda not that much of a stretch for me to do it all.
