We recently purchased two medium sized oval tree stump slices from Michaels that we are hoping to use in the wedding somehow. Our wedding is autumn themed. Our table number holders are birch stumps too. However, we already have a unique guestbook, our cake is too large and spread out to use them as a cake stand, and we are not having a ring bearer so we can’t really use it as a ring bearer pillow. I was thinking maybe turning them into signs for the sweetheart table or to say “T&L’s reception” or something.
What other creative wedding-related uses can you think of for two oval tree stump slices? I can’t think of what else I could use them for this is functional but still a little creative.

Here’s one you didn’t mention. We also did a log card box (no picture at work) and the cakse stands.

Maybe just sitting under a candle or a vase of flowers on your guest book or gift table?

I plan to use them as the base of our centerpieces with a mason jar on top with a bundle of wheat inside of the jar. Then there will be a couple of baby pumpkins and gourds around the mason jar. I may or may not tie a burlap bow (or some other fall/rustic type of ribbon or raffia) around the mason jar. I will incorporate little candles around the base of the tree slice.

aaiimmee – everything you mentioned (stump slices, mason jars, wheat bundles, baby pumpkins, burlap and candles) are all the same materials we are using as our decor lol. I love it!!
Thanks for the ideas. I do like the bubble holder idea, but we aren’t doing bubbles. That’s a very creative idea though! If we had more than two and they were less expensive, we would use them for a centerpiece stand, but we only have 2 and about 15 tables 🙁
The ideas are great though! Any more?

I’m doing something similar to @aaiimmee. I’m using them for the base of our flower arrangements on the guest tables. Since you only have 2, you could use them under an arrangement for another table (guest book or escort cards or whatever else you’re having).

You could use them as bar menu’s. You could put a few candles on them and put them on the escort card table. You could use them to decorate the head/ sweetheart table. You could use them on the parents’ tables under the centerpieces. You could have waiters pass out drinks using them as trays, or as trays on the bar with a dozen of a signature drink sitting on them.

oooooo the tray idea is SO cute! I was also going to say the idea of using them at the head table for more dramatic decor.

You could have your initials ( or your names if they would fit) woodburned into them and hang them in front of the head table or sweetheart table(whichever you are having).
I would hang them so the longer side was vertical.

Here are some great ideas that can be purchased at my shop in the larger sizes if you’re intersted.
