My fiance’s SIL’s mother made hers, for $7.00.  They made a replica of one selling at David’s Bridal that was $150.  They’ve offered to make mine, too, but I need to figure out what I want, first. 🙂

I got mine from PrettyThingsByJenni on Etsy. $150 CAD (that’s including shipping) for a custom 3 tiered cathedral length veil (the tiers are hip/fingertip, calf/waltz and cathedral) on a comb.

It was 3 weeks from the day I ordered to the day I had it in my hands, and that’s with international shipping.

Bought mine online for $17 and it’s beaded and beautiful… I’m not sure I’ll want to wear a veil for long so I didn’t want to spend a huge amount on it.

Making your own will save you a ton of money and you don’t have to be a skilled seamstress to do it. Depending on how elaborate you want the beading to be, it’s totally doable. The one I’m looking to make will cost me around $10 total.

AMNDAPLZ:  It took about 2 weeks, but you can also do a rush order.

I designed my own veil through Jasmine’s Bridal… the online Chinese shop. It was awesome, and really beautiful. I absolutely loved it. Cost me £50 ish, but it was a cathedral length veil covered in lace and sparkly things!

chicagold:  I got my Mantilla veil off ebay from china and its PERFECT!! it was like $20!! This was the second veil I bought from ebay and the other one was perfect as well – I just decided I wanted a Mantilla instead. Sorry for the huge pic I cant seem to resize – this was me trying it on at work when it arrived.

chicagold:  Judging by your username, I am guessing you are from the chicagoland area. I used a place called Sandra’s Designs out of Lombard and had a veil custom made from my mom’s veil and wedding dress. The gentleman who made it was great and actually makes MANY of the veils for the bridal shops in the area. You can see the veil they made for me on their facebook page (just search sandra’s design). I posted a picture on July 16, and they shared a few extra that I had sent them on August 12. I paid ~$150 but I also supplied all my materials as they were all from my mom’s dress. But it is worth looking into!!!
