@SeeingDaisies:  Without seeing a picture of you and your dress it’s hard to say.

I love birdcage veils, but IMO they only go with certain styles of dress eg they would not loiok right with a ball-gown IMPO.

As far as hair goes, I personally prefer up-dos for a formal event like a wedding though again, I’d say it depends on your dress. Veyr difficult to advise without seeing it 🙂

@SeeingDaisies:  Like what barbie86 said, it really depends on the dress. Since your Fiance likes your hair down, you could go for a half up half down look. I personally prefer the hair length’s style to be shorter or roughly the same length as the veil, but that is purely my opinion.

My own veil is shoulder length, but I’m still working out what design it’ll ultimately have since I am making my own. And just to give you a better image in your head, and hopefully more things to think about, my dress is tea length with a sweetheart neckline.

@SeeingDaisies:  Thanks! Since you’re having a longer dress and having the wedding outdoors, a slightly longer length than birdcage might work too.

I’m not so sure about the style of this, but the length is longer than the ones you posted. The scattered beads on the veil are a nice touch though.

Honestly, I held off on even worrying about the veil until I got the dress. There were certain dresses that didn’t look as good with a cathedral length veil (which I wanted) as others did. Some of them I tried on looked better with a fingertip length.
