Hi,
My name is Lauren, I am from the UK but I’m looking for a place to get married in Canada in August 2015 but I’m unsure where would be nice and not too expensive. We are planning on just have our close family so there will only be about 10 of us. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate their help.

@Lauren_Duncan: What part of Canada do you want to visit? We are a vast country- almost 10 million square kilometers.

@Lauren_Duncan: Canada is huge… which part, or city are you looking at. This is a very broad question.

@Lauren_Duncan: if you’re coming to Ontario it depends on what you want to do.
Ottawa is the national capital, has a lot of museums and cultural stuff, it’s really pretty.
Toronto is the provincial capital, has the provincial art gallery and museum. Has the sports teams, is by the great lakes, close to niagara falls.
If you want to go camping I would recommend Algonquin.
I WOULD NOT suggest spending more than 2 days/1 night in Niagara. It’s expensive, it’s a tourist trap, and really you can see and do everything worth doing in that time 🙂
ETA – missed that you’re looking for a place to get married – thought you were looking for vacation (clearly I’m not reading well today).
There are lots of places to get married in both those places. A lot of parks require permits to have events, but I know lots of people who have short and sweet ceremonies in the park without bothering with a permit.
The Allen Gardens are small and sweet and you can have a wedding there for only a couple of hundred dollars (i think) and then you could go to a nice restaurant – lots of those in Toronto.

@bibbleskip: Thanks for the information we were looking to get married and just stay in Cananda for the honeymoon too, so Toronto sounds ideal for us.

What kind of a place are you thinking of? Toronto has so many options.
indoor? Outdoor? What’s the budget about? Do you have a theme?
