Could you get married at your house?? If you have space, I think that would be pretty special.

This is hard without a bit more information, but I’ll share my own experience thinking about how to make my 80 person wedding stand out among weddings.  How many people is small wedding?  With 80 people, I can still do a traditional wedding, but <50 people, that’s harder.  Here are some thoughts –

First, pick a location that has character that people can see and appreciate.  We are picking a church that is architecurally beautiful, it’s definitely not your average church, and a reception venue that is a late 19th century mansion with a lot of details – marble staircase, library for cocktail hour, reception room with fireplaces, frescoed ceiling, chandeliers, etc.  Now maybe this isn’t exactly your type of character, but go for some form of character that will define your event.

Second, pick a show stopper dress.

Third, make sure the food is amazing and be generous with the bar and maybe passed champagne?

Fourth, pick a band that really knows how to entertain at a wedding.

Fifth, make the details like your invitations and decorations fancy.
