My fiancee and I just booked our reception site. When we visited we met with Woman A. When I called with follow up questions I spoke with Woman B. When I called the next day to set the date and determine when we could sign the contract I spoke with Woman C. It doesn’t bother me that there are multiple people doing the same job, but I’d much prefer to work with 1 person throughout the entire process.
Has anyone else signed up with a venue with multiple coordinators? Is it impolite to ask for exclusivity?

It usually irritates the venue if you ask that (I worked as one for 5 years). That being said I would still ask. With multiple people handling the contract, its easy for things to get forgotten, mistakes to be made etc. The most common issue was planner A would talk to the bride and note she wanted 20 tables. Planner B would talk to bride a few days later up the number to 30. Planner A would see contract later and either correct back to 20, or have to call bride to check. It was never deliberate but it happened. That being said I would probably wait until closer to your date though. I would try to go in a month or two in advance, or set up a phone meeting if you can’t go in. I would review the contract and all details that have been set up so far and insist that everything else go through that planner. This far out you have time to correct things if there are errors, its closer to that it will be super important.
