I’m looking for affordable wedding venues in the GTA/Toronto for 300 guests. We’ll be having the church elsewhere so just looking for the reception area. Hoping to spend about 100 per person.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the banquet halls in Vaughan/Woodbridge area, particularly Borgata which seems to be a new(ish) hall that none of my friends/relatives have heard of as of yet. Any other halls that are really great (service/food?)
Are there other venues in GTA area that aren’t a banquet hall that would accommodate 300 people that would be affordable?
Thanks in advance!

@0psv: Welcome! I have never heard of Borgata, so I cant give you any advice on that.
I know Paradise in Vaughan has packages starting at $80/person however they charge for chair covers, dj, LIGHTS. It ended up reaching to about $100ish a person.
I am going to Crystal Fountain in Markham and they charged me $95/person for deluxe open bar and a 5 course meal (prime rib is the main). The hall has GREAT food too and can easily accomodate 300 guests. Now, I should warn you that the person that will probably give you a qoute wont be as professional as other halls (he’ll write your quote on a lined piece of paper and probably be rushed) but the hall has been there for as long as I can remember and the food is #1 out of all the halls I’ve been to (including a lot of the halls in Vaughan)
Typically, the Woodbridge/Vaughan area for summer time, you’re looking at 120-130 a person.
Also try Grand Baccus, Le Parc, and Supreme Banquet Hall

My venue is Hazelton Manor in Vaughan. It is absolutely beautiful. We are paying $99 a head including taxes and gratuities. It is an open deluxe bar, cocktail hour, sit down plated dinner – main meal is steak and chicken (just our choice though). Everything is included from chairs to linens. Also, we are getting married on site (ceremony) but if you are not than it will be significantly cheaper.
