I got married at Lake Union Cafe, and while I absolutely LOVED it, I don’t think it’s big enough for you. They say they can fit 200, I think, but I had less than 80, and I can’t even imagine it with double (or more) the people!

What about someplace downtown? That’s close to Cap Hill, and you’ll probably have more luck with modern spaces. I didn’t look at any big venues since my list was so small, so I can’t give you any specific recommendations, but it would be worth checking out.

I got married at the Rainier Chapter House, the space is not modern and it is not as large as you need it to be. I went to an event at the Sole Repair shop may be worth checking out but im not sure about having enough eating space.

Fare Start! Although I’m not sure what their capacity is. But they are a non profit so you save $$ since there’s no sales tax or service charges. ๐Ÿ™‚ And the venue & food are amazing!

@dsanchez:  Oh bummer! That would be a deal breaker for me, too.

@kbiceling:  I love St. Ignatius. I think it’s the only part of the SU campus that I love as much as I love Gonzaga (can you tell I’m a GU alum?) ๐Ÿ™‚

I live on Cap Hill, and I can’t think of any wedding venues up here off the top of my head, nor have I shot any weddings here. I’ll ask around! I know that you can get valet parking for Georgetown Ballroom, which isn’t TOO far from Cap Hill (like 15 min in traffic).

Also, will 200-300 people fit in St. Ignatius? It seems too small for that…

@dsanchez:  Yeah, We invited around 140-150, and had about 80-90 people at our wedding, it wasn’t even a Catholic mass. They say only 60-75% will come.

I’m not sure if they are big enough but what about the Sorrento Hotel or The Edgewater?

@dsanchez:  I have a friend getting married at Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard. I’m not sure if that is near where you are looking, or prices, or number of people it can accomodate, so pretty much I know nothing except the name and that it is in Seattle ๐Ÿ™‚
