tgrbnny:  I know that they kept their entire wedding under $20k for 120ish people, but she said the pricing has gone up since then.  I’m not sure how much everything is now, but it’s a gorgeous venue and they had the entire farm property all weekend.  There are also on-site accomodations, which made everything really convenient.

I am not sure about the cost, but Pomme (http://pomme-peachtree.com/) in Radnor, PA is gorgeous.

I definitely would have considered this as my venue if my Fiance did not want to stay in the city.

tgrbnny:  awww thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ As for the reception room- i could have done more to decorate, but i was working with a tight buget. I didn’t do any up-lighting or anything like that. I would have loved to do large circle lights bordering the dance floor  (high up above head level) but wasn’t in budget ๐Ÿ™‚ The walls are very plain— so if you could do nice large florals and maybe some lighting it would make a big difference, but yes the inside of their reception room is rather basic to be honest. Do these pics help? :

tgrbnny:  Their communication with me has been great. Always quick to respond, and I’m sure they’d be happy to speak on the phone, I’ve just enver needed to call. One thing to keep in mind is that there are specific people who work for JAM at each of their venues, so the person who works at that venue you mentioned might just suck with communcation. That’s definitely not been my experience with the ones at JJAC though.

Ours is coming to about $132/person, based on 100 guests, including a 5% discount for having a Sunday wedding and a 5% military discount. Without the discounts, it would be about $145/head. It depends somewhat on which menu style you choose from them, but it’s still nowhere near $250/head haha

If you want any more information from them, I can send you some of what I have (: Just send me a PM if you want!

tgrbnny:  Our wedding was at Stokesay Castle, which I had hoped would have been better. Most of my vendors came out of Berks County (I think it’s close to Bucks? Maybe not?) I can absolutely recommend Juliana Laury Photography…she is not only an amazing person with crazy energy, her photos are wonderful! Royer’s Florist in Reading also did an amazing job on our flowers and floral decor. The Well Dressed Cake in Reading had outstanding cake and they did a great job on design.

I DO NOT recommend LEO Design Gallery. They will be sure to ruin your day as they did mine. They are half assed and left a dead string of lights up in our “dance floor drapery” not to mention they did the shittiest job on it…it would have looked better bare. When I saw it I could have cried. Several other things they did not deliver on as well. Stay far, far away from them.

tgrbnny:  I’m honestly not sure about that! I would assume veterans as well. My fiancé is currently active but will be a veteran by the time we get married. They don’t know that, but I doubt it would be a problem. Military is military.

I’ve heard rumors that they won’t be having weddings there anymore (not sure why) but just in case — I’m getting married at Ridley Creek State Park. Not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but always an option! http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/ridleycreek/ridleycreek-weddings/

I believe there are 5 approved caterers and we are coming in at about $95 a plate for the whole 9 yards with Sage Catering. Sage is the BEST!!!
