To be honest, it’s not my taste. Are you sending any information on paper or email? Like how and where to RSVP? It would kind of be annoying to have to watch this video and pause to get the info I needed.

Very cute! You guys are so adorable.

I agree, hopefully you guys have a website or an email invite to get more detailed information and RSVP.

Got it. To be honest I’d take down the necessary information then trash the DVD without watching it but your guests might be different.

heavenlyflower :  really? You wouldn’t be curious at all and watch it?

I’d pop it in to see what happens–I’d be super curious what was on the DVD!

amanda1988 :  Not in the slightest. lol But I don’t think that should be discouraging to others who want to do this. Just not something that would interest me.

zupy :  That was freaking amazing. How fun!!!

I think you know your guests well enough to know if this would be something they would appreciate. Personally, I think it’s super charming.

I’m sending paper invites invite

But I will be including a link to a video in the insert along with song lyrics. I’m going to have the wedding guests sing the recessional πŸ˜‰

Anyway, I think the invite-as-movie trailer is awesome. Well done!

zupy :  I would do the same as heavenlyflower :  Not everyone is going to be interested in these cutesy little wedding things, no matter how much effort you put into it. I think people go too far with wedding stuff and “trying to be different”. That kind of stuff doesn’t appeal to me. And I think it’s a little far reaching to say no one in an entire country or region would not watch it. To be fair, I throw all wedding invitations away after getting the details I need, paper or not.

xzupy :  An invite to me is a means of communicating necessary information so I know where to be and when. You’ve already put that on the actual DVD! I’m not going to dust off a DVD player I never use to then watch what I feel is an unnecessary video and its not bc I’m “acting” a certain way. You didn’t do something special for your guests you chose to do something different which is perfectly fine but please don’t act like this is some special favor or treat for your guests bc its not. As you can see not everyone will be interested in this and that should be ok with you.
