I want a very short simply ceremony. My Brother-In-Law is getting ordained to marry us, so I am planning the entire ceremony, and me and Fiance decided to write our own vows.
I would like to have Fiance say his vows, give me my ring
than I say my vows and give him his ring
do you think it has to be done seperatly?
I kind of like the idea of the rings being included in our vows

I think that could work, except I’d switch it so you say your vows and then GET your ring. Because you’re vowing to do x, y, and z, you then become that person’s spouse and put on your ring. The other way seems backwards.

I think you can combine them, but I’d say your vows to him, and give him his ring, then he says his vows to you and gives you your ring. So, I promise XYZ…with this ring I thee wed…
