i used mywedding.com and couldn’t be happier with it. we got so many compliments on it.

it’s free, simple to use, has a ton of great features, and really nice designs.

Have you checked out this thread with a similar question?  There are a lot of suggestions there.  I made my site on wordpress.com, which worked out really well for me.  It was before the Knot revamped their site, and I wanted to delete a whole bunch of pages that weren’t our style.  By going to a blogging site, we were able to keep ours clean & simple.

We created our own in iWeb and purchased a domain name through GoDaddy.com for $10.  The site is totally "us" and our guests mention it all the time.  Fiance has done an awesome job!
