I don’t want to put our registry on our invitations, so I want to make a website that has that info, but other tid bits as well. I started one on theknot.com, but was wondering if there is a better one out there. Don’t get me wrong, I think theknot has a easy-to-navigate wedding website, I just want to make sure before I have it put on the invites.
Any suggestions? Did anyone else put their website on their invites?

Hi and WELCOME to the hive
I too have a wedding website on The Knot. I included our website info/details on our Save The Dates. I didn’t really search to much looking for different wedding website hosts. I have been happy with The Knot – No Complaints
EDIT = I am also not a fancy person so I like that everything or rather all the catergories are already there and I just need to add/change/delete them. I can control what is posted….Maybe all of them offer this I am not sure. For someone who isn’t to tech savvy its been wonderful, haahaahaa

I hated the one from theknot. I ended up using brides.com for my website. It was pretty versatile, and it also had an online RSVP feature and a password feature. Those were both important to me.

I’m doing one from Wedding Paper Divas. I like it.

I also have a website with The Knot! It’s easy to use and and the designs aren’t too bad! Others have been using mywedding.com, which is also pretty easy to use, but I don’t know if there’s too much of a difference . I am including the website on our Save-The-Date Cards as well. I think it is okay to include it on the website, but maybe on a separate insert and not on the invitation itself? I’m sorry I can’t be much more help. Good luck!

I made my own using Wix.com, and redirected it to a url I purchased.
I’ve posted about it in the hive… if you look under the posts I’ve created, it should be there if you want any tutorials!
The google maps are messed up right now and it’s missing the “guest info” page, but other than that it’s pretty good to go!

You could always use google sites to make your wedding site OR http://www.mywedding.com

Ours is on theknot.com, but I HATED how long it was to put on the invitations. So I bought our domain for like $1.99/year through godaddy.com. I set out domain to forward to theknot.com site “blind”. This makes it so that when people go to our website (like joeandsuzy.com) it does not shift to the longer knot site in the navigation bar.
I would recomend looking into that if you find your website too long for the invites. We plan to use our url for our personal blog after the wedding 🙂
