I am not a tech savvy gal and I wanted simple, to the point, & easy…Several of the other girls here on WB aren’t huge fans but thus far I have no complaints – The Knot. I don’t use it for anything other than our wedding website. It has served its purpose well for us.  Its been very helpful for our guests, too and we have received some great compliments – our guests think we designed the whole thing, LOL…Obviously we didn’t and they’re templates we filled in and uploaded pictures, HAHAHAHHAAH

When I built my wedding website, I did a Google search for “free wedding website” and made an account on each one to try it out.  The best-looking website in the end was from The Knot, so that’s the one I kept.  They’re all really easy to use; just upload a few pictures, rearrange the pages, and fill in the words as needed.

If you don’t mind paying a few bucks, I used wedsite.com and I LOVE it. I’ve gotten nothing but great feedback from our guests. It’s SO simple to use, it’s really interactive for guests, it’s really easily customizable… I can’t say enough great things about it. I’m really happy I spent the $60 (plus found a $10 coupon online) on it, totally worth it for me. PM me if you want me to send you the link and password, I totally don’t mind sharing it ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m using weddingwire.com – I’ve loved it.  It’s very flexible and has lots of options (and great if you’re not terribly tech savvy).

You could always use a host that isn’t wedding related. I’ve seen a bunch of wedsites on wordpress, tumblr, and wix. I used the little html knowledge I have, plus some google docs, and have my own wedding tumblr. I really love it, and it’s formatted and customized exactly how I want!

I actually loved the wedding sites for the knot. Their community is really lacking in the tact department, and as far as being nice goes, but I will definitely say great things about everything else!
