We had an “our story” section that basically talked about who we are (for the other family, in case they didn’t know everything)-careers, schooling, background.

Then we added how we met, and our proposal story!

Yeah ours was like “blah blah blah graduated from blah blah university, likes ________, etc” and then the same for him. And then “we met when we were working near ______” and all that jazz and then in a separate tab we did our proposal story. I felt REALLY cheezy doing it but most people seem to like it so far (though only family and wedding party members have seen it) heh.

@cyndistar3: Yeah, it’s true, as I was writing the “About Us” section it was feeling super stale.  We ended up inserting fun little factoids about us that people don’t necessarily know.  Like, for example, I have a talent for falling asleep in under 1 second, and Fiance, despite his lack of ability to cook, makes the best mac n cheese anyone will ever have.  I say, have fun with it!

you could play a fun “20 questions” with that section. 20 random or not so random things that both you and Fiance answer. Keeps it interesting!

@pengoala: Ditto what <– she said.

We did funny stuff – I did it in a very ‘conversational’ way and was joking about FI’s car obsession and how I read about a million books a year and whatnot. Granted, my whole site is kind of “yeah here’s some facts, now let me be funny!” I’m a dork. Sorry.

For our website, we just had an “About Us” page.  Instead of doing individual write-ups, we just pulled together a quick 3-4 line paragraph that shares how we first met.  Below that we did a simliar quick paragraph about how he proposed.

We wanted to share info since some of the more extended family and family friends may not know our background as a couple and I figured they’ll be more interested in that then where we went to college.

I deleted that page. I think – or I’d like to think? – that our guests know a lot about us already!

We have a little blurb about how we met, our relationship, what we do for fun, and some photos of our furbaby. It’s pretty short, and not even very well written since I got bored while I was doing it, oops!

While it’s true that our close family know both of us, FI’s extended family doesn’t really know me, and my extended family…well, no, my extended family DOES know him.  But his extended family doesn’t really know me, and not everyone knows things like how we met. Plus, it was an excuse to talk about and put pictures up of our bunny.

Maybe we should have just made an “About Oliver” page!

@BunnyBrideToBe: Is Oliver the rabbit? Because a rabbit named Oliver is pretty much the most adorable thing in existence, probably.
