We are using mywedding.com because it’s free and we found it easy to work with.  It’s very customizable and you can add pictures and links as well as a password to keep non-guests off the site.

I personally am a big fan of the wedding website feature on The Knot, mainly because it so easy to use, you can DIY, and it’s FREE! 🙂 And I wouldn’t want to purchase a domain because what would I do with it after the wedding…?

I used mywedding.com and I definitely wouldnt sepnd money purchasing a domain because no one has really visited it at all!  I made it do that the out of town people could go there and find out their info, and instead they still text me or message me on facebook!  My response has been, “check the website…”

@iadornyou:  i actually set ours up on blogspot. i did some tweaking with the HTML/CSS and made it look like a website, not a blog. i much preferred using blogspot because it’s simpler, more customisable and original.

@iadornyou:  I used ewedding.com and bought a custom domain for 1 year for about $46. It was very easy to navigate and the website turned out super cute

I’m using weddingwire and I like it a lot. I tried a few sites before deciding on this one. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay for a domain that you will never use again, it’s just another expense that isn’t necessary

I bought a domain name for a year and directed it to my weddingwire site. I thought weddingwire was the easiest one to use and they have a lot of pretty themes. The domain name was only $5 so I thought it was worth it!

I’m using myweddingwebsite.com, but only because I had it almost completely finished by the time I found weddingwire. (: Their Vera Wang designed sites are gorgeous!

A quick question, though.. does anyone know if people actually look at those sites or not? I have important info on there that people need to know before the wedding, but it would be tacky/there’s not enough room on the invites for me to send the info in the mail. Are most of my guests going to look at the site?

@Chuby:  when I sent our save the dates out, I included a seperate slip of paper that just said “for more wedding info, please visit http://www…..”

you could do this with your invites too, that way people know there’s even a website to look at 🙂

I made mine through wix.com. I liked it because I was able to completely customize it, even though I did use a template as a base. It is really easy to use, too. It is free, but you there is a small ad on the webpage. You can purchase a domain name and remove the ad for $10/mo (I think), and even though it was a lot cheaper than some of the other wedding websites, it wasn’t worth it to us.

I use the wedding website group: http://www.theweddingwebsitegroup.com

Nice templates, easy to add content and you can send invitations for guests to rsvp online. It’s only £25 for a whole year which is about $35
