You’d have to pay for it. And doesnt seem worth the money to me. No one cares about your site, to be honest. At least I don’t. We used weddingwire.

I hear great things about Square Space and Appy Couple. You can also purchase a custom domain through The Knot. I don’t know of any custom domain builder that is free. As far as how to go about doing it:

https://www.theknot.com/content/domain-purchase-faq (The Knot)

http://www.squarespace.com/tour/wedding-website (Square Space)

http://www.appycouple.com/ (Appy Couple)

We just used The Knot’s free wedding websites and PW protected it. The domain is theknot.com/us/(pick your link) – for example, mine is theknot.com/us/myname-and-FIname

I don’t think thst’s terribly hard to remember; plus, we are inluding an insert with the website info w/ our STDs and invtes. But if you feel you want a personal domain, you will have to pay for it.

I used minted and it was only $35 To have a custom url. I thought it was completely worth it and I love how it turned out. The sight was super easy to to and I really liked how simple the url actually is. We did initiallovesinitial.minted.us. Short, sweet and easy to remember.

We love Appy Couple, and we also did a custom URL for $35. It just looks much better on the invites and save the dates written out. We did www.(myname)and(hisname)2017.com

We are using Minted as well! There was a promotion code for a free premium website ($35 value) including the custom url and password protection. We chose: the(his last name)wedding.com — I love the format, it’s super customizable, and clean. I showed some family members this past weekend just our landing page and they loved it.

You can get a custom domain name through godaddy.  Appy Couple will do it for you or you can have them link it to their account.  I prefer the shorter, custom urls–it looks better on your invitations and is easier to remember.  Oh, and it’s not free, anywhere 😉
