@wed365:  I used MyWedding, and the free option at that. It was really easy and they had super nice themes-I know for a fact they can do photo galleries. Not sure about music and video.

We’re using mywedding and as far as I know it will leave it up for free until after your wedding date passes.  I think they offer dates of up to two years.  We created ours back in June or July of this year and we are not getting married until November of next year if that helps.

We also chose to use mywedding and it’s been super easy. I’m not sure about video/sound but I’ve already uploaded a photo gallery. You might look around a little more if you are really set on videos and music. http://www.projectwedding.com also has free websites, but I haven’t used them.

I’m using weddingwire. Its really really easy to add information and personalize everything.

I’m using weddingwire and I love it… I especially love the RSVP section they have there so my guests can RSVP online – it will only allow people on my guest list to RSVP, which is nice.  I know you can have music and videos on there as well… I don’t have video on mine but I found a link that will walk you through how to add one: http://support.weddingwire.com/questions/619/How+do+I+upload+a+video+to+my+wedding+website%3F

If you want to get fancy and have time to really personalize stuff, I totally recommend wix.com – there are lots of cute templates (it’s not just for weddings so the templates are for all sorts of stuff that you can customize) and it’s very easy to upload pictures, add google maps, etc.  I’m not sure about music but I’m sure there’s a widget you can get for it.

@elysion:  +1. I used wix.com and loved it, I love how it has flash. It’s way fancier/snazzier than some of the traditional “wedding websites” (a lot of businesses use wix.com too).

I’m using mywedding…you can upload music but there is a limit.  As far as how long it stays up, I know a couple that was married last year and their page is still up.

I looked at wix and decided not to go for it, since Apple no longer supports flash.  When someone using an iPad, iPhone or apple computer goes to view the site, it redirects them to a mobile site.  Since I wanted people to view the actual site, I ended up going with a non-flash site for compatability.  Sadness that flash isn’t universal.

@shaykitteh:  Actually that’s not totally true, I have a Macbook at home, and my FI has a Mac desktop, and we designed the Wix.com website on our computers and they work fine. I think the iPhone and Ipad may not be flash-compatible, but we were OK with that.
