I’m getting ready to start my wedding webste and I was hoping the Hive could narrow down all the choices of website providers for me! Here’s what I’m looking for:
1) Ability to register my own domain name, ie http://www.mrandmrsnoche2010.com, instead of having the provider be part of the address.
2) Variety of easy to use templates so I don’t have to design it myself
3) Capabilities for email Save-the-Dates and online RSVP
4) And cheap would be nice! I’m thinking generic wedding sites, not the more expensive (though certainly more awesome!) hand-designed website vendors.
Can you guys share what service you’ve used and how it fits these and any other criteria which were important to you?

I used ewedding.com. You can get a website there for as little as $50 a year with a free domain name. It is very easy to use and has online RSVP. Don’t think it has email save the dates though.

I used WeddingWindow and found the site to be very user-friendly. It has great page templates, RSVP capabilities, I think they have electronic Save-The-Date Cards, and their customer service was always very responsive and helpful when I had a question about how to achieve what I was after. I believe you can pay additional to have your own URL withouth “WeddingWindow” in the address. We paid $79 for a 12-month subscription.

Both look like great options, and I hadn’t heard of either! Thanks! 🙂
