We have our own domain name, but I purchased it when I joined the site on Wedshare.  You might have the option to use a domain you already own though – that may have been a line I remember – it’s been a while though.

What you probably need is a "redirect".  In my case, I purchased my website address from GoDaddy.com (MrXandMissY.com).  Then I used weddingwire.com for their free website template (which would make my site’s address weddingwire.com/MrXandMissY).  By spending a little extra money with GoDaddy, guests are able to enter my preferred web address and it automatically sends them to my weddingwire site.  This process can be masked so that nothing changes in the address bar.

 I hope I haven’t made it confusing.  😀

I suggest a redirect as well! Good luck!

Hmm, are you sure you spent extra money on the redirect with godaddy? I seem to remember mine was free for another website… but it has been a while!

I second everyone else’s suggestion for using a redirect though–uploading everything is WAY too much work. Good luck!

I bought my domain name from godaddy and have been using brides.com. They let you do your own domain name and it is awesome! It’s totally free and they even have electronic RSVP, email to guests etc. PM me if you want to see the website I made with it!
