I wrote one out and then deleted it before making it public lol – I was just cringing too much. I also realized that everyone invited to our wedding already knew us and our “story” so there was really no point to it.

I deleted it.

Ain’t nobody got time for that.

I really love Howheasked.com so I’m all for ‘our story’ on wedding websites.  I really don’t think it hurts to have it.

Short and sweet at the bottom of the webpage. I titled mine “How it all began”:

Our story began in May of 2008 when we independently signed up for our Birthright (a trip to Israel for young Jews). Out of 20,000 participants, we happened to be placed on the same bus to travel around Israel together. After ten days on a bumpy ride through the desert, our friendship blossomed. Once we came back to California where we both lived, it only took a few weeks for us to realize there was more than a friendship blossoming.

Now after nearly 9 years together, a new journey is beginning.

Ours included a paragraph each on where we’re from, what we like, etc, for the sake of plus ones and extended family that one of us may not have met. I have attended a couple weddings where I had NO IDEA who the bride or groom was, or what to talk to them about, and I wished I had a little blurb to read about them lol. We also have a short description of our first date and how he proposed. I wrote all of this stuff, but I did it from third perspective narrative, which I felt like was the most neutral way 🙂 I totally suggest doing it though! Even if nobody else but you and your Fiance read it, it is a fun touch to make you feel like your wedding website is more special than just a means to an end to convey necessary information.
