We ended up going with WeddingWire. They had an inital template in place that we liked, and they hosted our images and mp3s for free. Once using that inital template for the theme of the site. We could mess with the source code of each interior page, though they did provide some basic page set-up options. We wanted the source code option as we both have training with it, allowing more personalization. He works with code on a daily basis at his job so if we wanted to, we could have gone way over the top.

The options they have for pages (meaning they are pretitled, though you can change them easily) and apps (interactive pages like RSVP, contact us, wedding playlist, etc) are pretty decent. We wanted a simplistic site so we have only chosen a small handful. You can also decide on your own url (ie WeddingWire/JaneAndJohn) and it was short, which is nice. FH hates flash sites so wanted to keep that aspect as minimal as possible.

However, you cannot seem to break from the theme frame around each page. This was fine for us as we liked the theme, and the songlist is located within the frame.

we  had our free website on mywedding.com. they offered a variety of themes and templates and it was really easy to use if any changes were needed. I know that wedsite has a pretty cool flash site that is only $50?/year?

A couple of my friends used that and I think it was worth their money for the upgraded site features.

We did mywedding.com for free and I liked it

My friend is using Wedsite and her website looks like it is a professionally done website! It is gorgeous…not sure if it cost her money though but if it is free I would definitely use that!
