I would definitely let people know about the shoes, maybe you could put it with information about the venue if you didn’t want a whole section for it?

Yes, tacky. I say put a couple questions and answers about attire in the FAQ section.

Not tacky. Not if you’re worried about people falling down!

I would just put the info on your venue infomration page. Just put a note on there that the ground is gravel so they might want to choose footwear accordingly.

I agree with putting a note in the venue section about the surface and shoe guidance.

I don’t think it’s tacky. I’m sure your guests will appreciate it and I know I’ve been unsure of whether a wedding I was attending was black tie or not. The website is always a more casual place to put info and perfect. Now if you were to have put it in the invite, tacky!

I would appreciate the information. You don’t need a separate page tho, just a little info in your venue section, as others have recommended.

No it’s not tacky, people are idiots most of the time when it comes to attire. At least where I’m from. I say make things as easy and obvious for them as possible. Maybe just go to everyones house the night before and lay out their clothes for them. That’s probably what I’m going to do, lol. So yeah make a little attire section. It’s not tacky it’s helpful. Good lord “tacky” is thrown around on this site a lot.

Don’t tell people what to wear.

Do tell people about the gravel at the venue so they can decide what they want to wear based on that info.  BTW I would be ticked if I wore a pair of my favorite heels and they were ruined in the gravel.
