I purchased some pepp toe wedges for my wedding in 4 weeks because it’s outside on grass (plus they’re so much more comfortable than heels anyway). It took me a while to find wedges that weren’t cork-bottom or espadrille-style because I wanted something different, but mine were actually on sale at JCrew (they’re an aqua version of the tan ones in the pic at the site below)

If you’re looking for summery-looking ones – I’ve seen a TON of espadrille and cork wedges on sale in stores recently with the newer “fall” season merch coming in.

I had a really hard time finding them in person and ended up purchasing a bunch of options online and sending them back. My only advice related to buying shoes online is to buy from places that have lower shipping costs – $12+ lost for each pair of shoes that doesn’t fit can add up really fast. Good luck!

I had the same problem – I got married outside, and had to find something I could walk in, and looked cute at the same time.  I ended up finding a pair of Steve Madden wedges, and painting them, so they matched the blue theme of our wedding.  It was very easy to do, and I loved the way they looked.  Just a thought, if you can’t find anything you like.  Here is a link to the wedges I used:  http://mediaext.djnetworks.net/media/746/735/files/7467351.jpg  I left the flowers and wedges natural, and then painted the rest a lagoon blue.  Hopefully that helps!

I have a couple pairs of ugg wedges and they are really comfy! They might be more casual than you want but check zappos!

I wore these.  Some bees said they were too casual for a wedding, but I wore them anyway, no one really saw them, and they were soooooo comfy.  I wore them from the beginning of the wedding all the way to the end of the ceremony.  I did use anti-chafing gel on my entire foot first though, just in case.  Worked like a charm. I wore these beauties.  They’re Lulu Townsend from DSW & they were amazingly comfy.

I have seen these clear plastic things that attach to a high heel to keep it from sinking into the grass.  Maybe that would be allow you to still wear the shoes of your dreams?  Sorry, I don’t know what they are called.
