So next week will mark four months to the big day and I’ve only lost ten pounds of the weight I want to lose for the wedding! This has me scared to death!
What are yall doing for exercise/dieting? I am so bad at all of this. I have zero self control and its driving me insane!
Also when is the point that you must stop losing weight in order for your dress to be fitted?

I am doing weight watchers. I am down 20 pounds in 12 weeks. I have the monthly pass to that gives me access WW online which I love for the ease of calculating points and tracking. It also lets me go to the meetings. I need to be accountable to weigh in so for me going to the meetings to weigh in is better than trying to do it at home.
I haven’t managed to be great at the exercise bit yet. Just a few walks each week so I am thinking that could help boost it. I find tracking my food makes me less likely to eat junk. 8 points for a candy bar? Not worth it! I guess the biggest thing both in weighing in and actually losing is accountability. My mom is also my WW partner so that helps.
I too am curious as to when you need to stop for fittings. Not that I am thinking about a fitting until I lose a bit more.

congrats on both of your weight loss. I have lost about 10 since January and feel like I have lost all motvation. Im by no means overweight, 5’7″ and 150 pounds, but I really want to be toned!

Don’t say “only” 10 pounds. That’s a big accomplishment; you should be proud of yourself! And you’ve obviously had enough self control to get to that point so you’re doing something right.
Keep doing what you’re doing, just step it up a little with the workout maybe. Add an extra rep or two or mile or whatever.
I lost about 40 pounds in high school (since then I put about half back on, then lost half of THAT lol) and I found that these things helped the most:
1) portion control — you CAN have chocolate, pizza, etc. Just grab 1 cookie or 1 slice, and then go do something to distract you from the craving. Or munch on fruit or mints or gum.
2) Try a new exersize. Even if you hate it, at least it’ll keep things interesting so you don’t get bored.
3) When you feel like overeating or not exersizing, focus on why you want to lose weight and keep it positive. Say things to yourself like, “I am proud of myself and want to be even more proud of myself” or “I know I can look even better in that dress” or “I can’t wait to see how awesome it feels when the number on the scale goes down or I have to buy a smaller pants size.”

Personally, I don’t really want to lose much weight for my wedding (maybe like 5 lbs tops) but I do want to tone up. Hoping to take yoga soon.

I am also doing weight watchers. I’ve lost almost 10lns in 9 weeks. I also go to the gym at least 5 times a week, and I work with a personal trainer 2 of those 5 times. The benefits of working with she trainer are great. I have only been working with him for about a month and I see a difference in my body already, that I don’t think I would have seen otherwise.
