    I love the first idea! I have seen graphics like this but never thought of using it as a guest book alternative.

    I would use flower or butterfly shapes.

    I honestly like the first one better; it looks cooler on the wall, in my opinion!

    We are having a thumbprint tree because I also didn’t like the idea of a guestbook.

    I don’t like the traditional guest books either!  I toyed with the wish tree option but couldn’t find a large enough tree for our 350 guests to hang wishes on… so we went this route, the Wish Board!  I DIY’ed a couple big french memo boards in our wedding colors and we had little cards like the ones pictured printed up.  We’ll have a big table set up w/ the cards and pens in front of where the boards are hung on the wall when you first enter the venue (before the banquet room).  🙂
