Hello Bees! I am brand new here and am trying to get some advice about a couple topics… Here goes:
#1… My employer is not being very cooperative in allowing me to take the time I need off to be able to plan my wedding (such as meeting with our coordinator and vendors, dress shopping, etc). We are a very small business and are short handed, and have been for over a year because they refuse to hire anyone. I plan on trying to reason with them but they haven’t been very receptive in the past. For some reason they feel the need to force me to work every weekend here lately even though they know my Wedding is less than 7 months away (April 26th, 2014). They do not seem to care. The other employees can get any day they want off, no problem, but if I need time off I never get it. It’s a husband/wife team and well to be honest they’re nuts. But I digress… Moving on.
#2… Because of my horrible schedule I have only been able to officially go dress shopping once. This past Sunday. Not every Bridal Shop will do Sunday appointments around here so I’m lucky I was able to swing that. I have found a dress that I like but I can’t help but feel as though I have not looked enough. However, the other dresses that I do like I cannot find anywhere that is less than 4 hours away.. It’s very disheartening. I’m not sure what I should do. I like the dress and am completely surprised by it. It’s not something I would have picked intentionally. I have included some photos of the dress and one other that my group liked on me. My pick is AA Ariel #210. The other is Casablanca 2072. I feel as though I should look more, but I don’t know if I will be able to.
Let me know what you ladies think of my problems. Sorry for whining about it. This has been weighing heavy on my mind. Thanks for listening 🙂
Now for a couple of pics 🙂
Alfred Angelo Ariel 210, Added a belt and love it!

What an obnoxious work place! I hope they get more flexible when you get closer to the wedding!

@Mrs_McGuire2014: What a royal pain in the ass. I’m sorry your employers are giving you a hard time!
As far as the dresses go, I had a hard time choosing. I think the Alfred Angelo is slightly more flattering, but the Casablanca is more my style. I voted Casablanca, but it was a tough call.

How many times did you ladies go dress shopping before you found the one?

@Mrs_McGuire2014: You look lovely in the Casablanca- so pretty!

I have to go with the Casablanca. You look great in it, though I might be a little biased since I got Casablanca(mine is 1827) and the style with them 😉

Sorry your boss is giving you such a hard time! I love dress #2

I think the Ariel is a lot more flattering on you. But, I do think that you should keep looking.

If your employers are treating you like this now then I doubt it will get any easier for you closer to the Big Day… might be time to have a look at other available jobs where they hopefully have more respect for the staff..
In regards to the dresses, they are both stunning on you. When I looked at the Ariel dress I immediately thought it looked gorgeous and I loved how the style looked fun and romantic at the same time..but then when i scrolled down further I went ‘wow’! The Casablanca is made for you! I may be biased because I love the lace look but it really does look so stunningly elegant.

i prefer the ariel dress.

I love the Casablanca 🙂 I’m sorry your employer is being difficult.

@Mrs_McGuire2014: I went once, and the 1st dress I tried on ended up being the one. Its similar to the Cassablanca, so I am biased, but I love that dress on you. I think your boobs (hey, Im a boob girl!) look great, tiny tiny waist, and accentuates your body beautifully!

I doubt that they will be more flexible. I’m going to try and talk to them as soon as I get some dates figured out. We shall see. I am actively looking for another job though and have been for a while but so far not much luck.
Thank you ladies for all your input 🙂 I feel as though I should do more shopping I just don’t know when I will be able to. Ugh! My nerves are shot!
