- Wedding: March 2013
I totally felt the same way about Pinterest. I was freaking out about having to personalize every detail of our wedding…then my fiancé and I went to a friend’s wedding. It was nice and beautiful, and you could tell that she barely did a thing herself (it was in a hotel ballroom). It was a great reality check, because those things weren’t missed at all.
When people ask me what my theme is I tell them that our thing is “Things <physicsbride> likes”. It’s going to look like a mishmash and I have no talent with colours. I’m mostly ok with it too 🙂
One thing that I like about Weddingbee is that if you ask for advice and start with “We’ve chosen to do <blah> for our wedding, any tips?”, most people are nice and accepting that you’re being different and then help you brainstorm the best way to do it. I started our wedding planning by reading a different wedding communitie’s threads and boy did they intimidate me!
