I think I have always gone with what the bees have suggested. But not only because of the results but it was great confirmation.

I voted “other” because I think the one time I did a “which shoe” poll I actually hadn’t decided which shoe I liked best and wanted to see other opinions.  I don’t think I ended up with the shoe that got the most votes, but it wasn’t because I had my heart set on one before posting the poll.  I ordered the top two, and returned the #1 vote because it was super uncomfortable, which isn’t something you can tell from a picture on screen ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t respond to this poll cause at times it could be all answers ๐Ÿ™‚ But I think the best thing about the polls is when people justify their opinions below, cause then you can say 20% of people think these shoes are lame, but they all said that its just cause they hate purple…

Usually polls just help me make my decision. It’s not like I would change my mind on something just because of a poll, but if I was having a hard time deciding between one or two things, the popular opinion may be enough to sway me in one direction! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve definitely used the polls to come to decisions regarding little details… which color necklace should I get my bridesmaids, if you were a bridesmaid, which would you rather have…, a poll even helped me decide which litterbox to buy!

There have been polls that I’ve posted where I’ve decided to go a totally seperate direction, or I’ve gone against the popular vote.  It really just depends.

I also love when people justify their opinions, like JennyPenny said!

I will admit that the polls can be a great confirmation and help me “know” I made the right choice but usually I use it for things that I can’t decide between and want honest opinions/help with ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, one of my polls helped me decide on which wedding dress to buy!  I couldn’t decide for the life of me!

I guess mine falls into “other”. I had a dress poll once, 80% chose my original purchased dress against the one I was thinking about. At the time I listened to the poll and stuck to the original. 4 months later when my dress came in, I hated it and bought the second dress anyway. But…after it was all said and done, I still wore my original dress. So I listened to the poll, then didn’t listen, then listened again ๐Ÿ™‚

I havent’ done a poll yet but I often feel the anonymous polls are illustrative of what “true” responses might be so I keep that in mind when others offer suggestiosn similar to my own ideas.

I did not follow the advice of the polls, and I must admit the responses frustrated me a bit, so I won’t be doing that again.

The first time I posted dresses, people said I should get pics of me IN the dress, after I had pointed out that I wasn’t allowed and was never alone to sneak one.  Then I drove several hours to get pictures and no one liked them.  I had tried on more dresses than I want to for the rest of my life and the last answer I wanted was to keep looking.

They suggested an A-line dress (they both were) they suggested a corset back (they were), I ended up feeling like I was supposed to keep looking until I had “the moment” and “knew” I found the dress.  If that had happened I wouldn’t have needed a poll!

I just picked a dress and went with it.
