Is anyone else feeling pressure, either from people or from themselves, to diet and lose weight and be super skinny in time for the wedding?
With only weeks to go I want to be slim as a pin and look my absolute best. I’m exercising, dieting (but eating healthily) and taking supplements. Oh and I’m off the booze till the wedding. I miss wine.
Anyone else ?

Good for you. I always wanted to look superskinny for my wedding, and I definitely feel pressure to lose weight. However, I know now that I won’t be. I will, however, look healthy and happy, and I think that’s ok.

I am!! It’s another 5 months and I’m only 4.6lbs away from my goal weight! I want to be super skinny and look my best on my big day. Although I would like to be at my ideal weight but if I stay this way in October, I’m still going to be a happy bride

People like my parents and Fiance and his parents make comments like at family dinners like “is that on your wedding diet?” lol But I have absolutely no time so instead of dieting or exercise I bought some nice spandx to suck in the stomach lol I’m 5’6” 120lbs so I’m fairly happy with myself and still athletic looking. Fiance wants me to gain more weight and I don’t want to look sick looking at my wedding. I definitely have a glass of wine or so almost every night anymore with finals and graduation next week!

I totally am! I had a dress fitting and I noticed I had some “back fat” sticking out. I was totally bummed down for the rest of the day! I’m definitly hitting the gym extra hard until the wedding, however I seem just unable to keep those treats away.

I am. Trying so hard not to eat treats and get to the gym. Yesterday I had an arguement with myself about if I wanted a chick fil a cookie.<br />

MrsN14: you sound tiny! Obviously everyone carries weight differently but those comments would really irritate me!

I’ve posted about my own struggle with weight loss and weight loss pressure already so I can totally empathize! I’m 5 ft 7.5 inches and weigh around 165. I wear a size 8-10 pant and 4-6 on top. A year ago I was pushing size 12-14 and weighed about 10-15 lbs more than I do now. I am super proud of my progress but it is not enough for my mom! She comments all the time about losing more. It sucks but I know I am doing the best I can!

My wedding is in 11 months, and I’m dieting, but those two aren’t really connected. I want to be healthy, not skinny, and I’m working on keeping healthy for life, not skinny for one day.

My wedding isn’t until October, but I am already thinking of ways to drop a few pounds before the big day – or more so, before my dress comes in sometime in August.
I currently workout 2-4 days a week, depending on what’s going on with my schedule. I for sure get to a couple Zumba classes, so the calories just melt away! BUT, I have a fun 5K in July that I am going to start training for (want to run more than walk), so that is my focus for June. I think that will change some, as it’ll be different on my body than the normal classes (Zumba/CXWORX) that I’m doing now. Once that’s done with, I’ll go back to incoprating my classes back in, especially CXWORX (hello, strength training!).
I already eat somewhat well… being mindful but not being super strict. I mainly want to tone up than lose pounds on the scale. Yes, I look at the number, but I can tell something has happened with the way my clothes fit.

julesbeeb: haha that first glass of wine the wedding weekend went down a treat! It was worth it though I don’t think my skin/weight/body tone could have been any better in our wedding photos. old married lady now its all downhill from here haha

MrsSpagan: I actually can’t loose too much weight as I would have to get my dress taken in, and I don’t want to have to do that.
I’m really just focused on toning up my arms and maintaining my current weight.
