- Wedding: November 2017
Okay, so I originally had two of my good friends as bridesmaids, we all lead busy lives and when we have free time we are either caring for children, spending family time or exhausted and want time for ourselves, so catching up in person is quite sparce.
In saying this, one of my bridesmaids pulled out because she felt we had drifted, stating I was closer with the other bridesmaids, one of which lives in a seperate state (so I don’t know how we are closer), one I work with (quite obviously I will see them on a daily basis) and the other visits me when she is visiting her sister who lives around the corner (so it is convenient). She also had cancelled plans when I had arranged to meet up with her in the past, so I don’t quite understand how she was pushing the blame on me.
The one who’s sister lives nearby (has a closer friendship witht he bridemaid who has already pulled out) is become more and more distant, my family and friends believe she may have had something to do with the other bridesmaid pulling out, my fiance feels she is ingenuine and only wants to maintain the friendship so she can be involved in the wedding, and I personally just feel exhausted by the friendship as a whole. She is a very high maintanence friend.
I messaged her earlier today asking if everything was okay as I feel she doesnt want to be involved about an hour ago on facebook messanger, she saw the message almost instantly, was active on messanger for about 15 minutes and did not reply and is now not active. I believe she may be consulting with the other “ex-“bridesmaid on how to respond and come back with her usual response of “sorry i have just been so busy with work” but i know this can’t be true as i have her on other social media such as snap chat and see how much spare time she has, as well and the posts on facebook with mututal friends about the outings they share and their constanct back and forth conversations.
I know to some this may seem pathetic or pitiful as it is based alot on social media, however, i am looking on advice and support on other experiences which have been similar.
