We looked into them but are using WeddingMix instead. It’s a similar idea, but I felt like there were more actual reviews for WeddingMix. So far, the customer service has been amazing.

We’re doing 3 cameras. It’s not a massive wedding (just under 100 people), so we figured that would be sufficient. Wedding is in two weeks so I’ll let you know how it turns out!

@maryaz:  Ariane is a Chicago techie acquaintance!  We participate in a tech chat called #MsTech & she is always super helpful to the community.  So cool that you are using her service!

I’m glad you asked this. I saw this on Pinterest and pinned it, but I’ve never heard of anyone who has actually used it.

@maryaz:  how does Wedding Mix work? Do they ship you the cameras, you film and send it back and they edit it together into one film? How long is the final product? And do they overlay music?

good thread OP.

WeddingMix lets you choose the your package, so you can choose what level you want. There is a free App that anyone can download, so guests with smart phones can contribute video and photos to your final wedding video. I looove this because we’ve been able to upload videos from the bachelorette party, shower, random conversations, etc. leading up to the wedding.

The week before the wedding, they’ll ship the three cameras we ordered to us. We’ll then send the cameras back to them and use that footage and all of the app videos to put together our own video. You can choose from different themes, like pop, indie, classic, modern, etc. You can view them on their website to get an idea.

You can choose to edit the video together yourself by piecing it together on a storyboard online, or you can have them do it.

The videos are full length. I think up to an hour.

Their reviews on WeddingWire are awesome. http://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/storymix-media-oak-park/4762a07be6da4683.html

Oh, commenting to follow this on the future!
This is what we want to do for our wedding… video isn’t a priority for us but it would be awesome to have videos from friends and family! 🙂
