Ideally I would have liked under $20k, We originally budgeted around $25k and came in probably right under $30k, that is including our honeymoon and rings.

We’re in the midwest and got married in a pretty popular tourist area.

We splurged on our photographer/videographer. Saved on paper (I designed and printed it all myself). Also saved on my dress (under $1k), splurged on alcohol (completely open bar).

I’ll be married in June and it still looks like we’ll be staying on budget @ 20k, but weren’t not including the honeymoon in this cost b/c I feel like it’s a vacation, not a wedding cost

Our budget is $15k, but on purpose. I knew that we were going to rack up to $20k, but I wanted to “trick” myself with $15k throughout the planning so that I made sure I only went over by a little bit. We are on track for a $19k wedding at the moment – this doesn’t include the honeymoon.

We are inviting 220 people! We splurged on my dress ($1800) and the photographer ($2000) but that’s it – we were very frugal with everything else.

Okay my costs are in GBP so not sure on the conversions. I’m also doing a destination wedding (no wedding planner so I coukd save money as they seemed to.charge a lot. I went and viewed venues abroad myself with blog recommendations and am doing everything myself even the decoration). Our budget was 10k, it’s doubled to 20k. However the villa we went with was a lot bigger than planned so we are recuperating about 6k from selling the rooms on site to guests who wish to stay (all rooms went quickly!). So basically are only 4k ish over.

We also got some cash gifts which helped but mainly our budget rose due to additional guests coming (that I’ve never met due to mother in law demands). Anyway we have managed to find the money somehow and been frugal where possible!
