I’m wondering this too!  I’m planning to eat super clean to make my skin clear and flawless and drinking lots of water.

@jenjen96:  Same as I do every other week (except less pop and more water), I didn’t want to change things too drastically and feel off on the busiest week of my life!

I can’t remember what I ate at home but I drove out about 4-5 days before my wedding.  One of my BMs drove out with me.  On the road trip, we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast and lunch.  When we got to Vegas, we ate at the Bellagio buffet for dinner.  I also remember eating at a Thai buffet, a few Vietnamese sandwiches, a slice of cake from the bakery that made my macarons, chicken fingers & fries at the hotel pool, and greek food.

I’m eating what I normally eat (which is pretty healthy), just skipping out on any late night splurges. If we eat something unhealthy its usually after 10pm so we are sticking to healthy snacks.

My plan…Sunday wedding…

  • Sunday: no carbs aside from spinach and mushrooms
  • Mon-Thurs: no carbs during breakfast or dinner–i start an internship at a law firm so I will eat moderately (protein + veg + small treat if presented)
  • Fri-Sat: no carbs at all (salmon and water all day, no salt)
  • Sunday (WEDDING): protein bar before wedding (9:30am) and cheesecake when it’s served. Then dinner with my FH and I’ll eat whatever I want.

Heaps of water on ALL DAYS…no soda/carbonation, no added salt starting on Thursday night. I think that’s it. I’ll have a trial run at the NO CARBS right before my last fitting (so I’ll do it the 13th and 14th for my fitting on the 15th)

I pretty much threw my diet out the window the week before the wedding!!  I drank lots of water but as far as my diet I didn’t worry about it too much.  I wanted to make sure I had enough energy to complete all the tasks that needed to be done that week!

@jenjen96:  Great topic! Commenting so I can follow. I am definitely worried about salt intake the week of the wedding. I don’t know about other people, but I tend to look bloated when I eat too much salt!

ABSOLUTELY no processed foods, NO carbs or starchy foods. That will help with puffiness, especially around your face and tummy. Drink lots of water. Fruits and veggies are great snacks bc they contain water as well.

You will still need protein, otherwise you will be weak and cranky, and for me I get bad headaches if I skip meals. Eggs, turkey, chicken, hummus, cottage cheese, yogurt, nuts…these are all great.

One last thing…eat a lot of things with omega 3’s. That will do wonders for your skin and hair. Think olive oil, avocados, wild caught fish, some nuts are good sources. Remember…fat is not the enemy, sugar is. Stay away from sugar.
