@MrsBostonTerrier:  can you get out of the house and do stuff in this awesome nice weather…like a bike ride, or a hike or something? That way you’re moving and not near the fridge. I spent the parts of the weekend I wasn’t in bed with a migraine out in the yard slugging bags of soil, mulch, tree trimming etc. and only came in the kitchen to refill my water.

Yesterday I had half of a chicken spring roll and some wine and a cocktail. That was my splurge but I must have melted off a billion calories earlier in the day outside.

p.s. I was at my heaviest in a couple of years two weeks ago and I’m supposed to be fitting into my dress before you so I am super motivated right now – I hear your pain lady!!

@MrsBostonTerrier:  I am the SAME way! Had chinese Saturday night, pizza last night. Only gained a pound but boy do I feel guilty. I think what helped was getting some cardio in on Saturday.

Eat a lot more protein. It will keep you full longer, so you won’t be snacking as much.

It’s good to have at least one cheat day a week…I would have lots of fruits since it’s summer they’re plentiful right now…I usually make a big bowel of watermelon, peaches, strawberries and mangos…that helps w/ my sweet tooth and also fills me up so that I am not browsing through the pantry and fridge for other foods….I find that I eat more when I am bored…so this really helps me.

Good luck to you!

@MrsBostonTerrier:  It was some ridiculous temperature hereoin the weekend, like instamelt!!    But I just made sure I was superhydrated and kept going, thinking of the weight dripping off me. Not reality, but it sure helped.

Rain isn’t gonna hurt you – dress for it, get some wellies, and a rain suit. If you have a safe route you can bike to the park and back, get in, have a nice warm shower and dry off. Maybe because I grew up in Ireland rain doesn’t phase me that much. Also – you don’t need Fiance to ride with you – go on your own…just get out 🙂

Do you have any wedding DIY stuff that needs doing to keep your hands busy and your mind off the kitchen? That could keep you busy indoors. I can send you my stuff if you have nothing, TIA!! lol

Lets break it down – 120 days, 16 weeks approx, 16 weekends – you can do this!!

I’m bad on the weekends too. It is hard when there is more downtime and less structure. We often spend weekends at my in laws’ home, and they have a junk food drawer. I have a hard time resisting chips and candy. I’m back to tracking everything I eat in myfitnesspal. It helps me be accountable and sometimes just knowing I have to log whatever I eat keeps me from making bad choices.

If I’m going somewhere I try to bring snacks or food with me. My go-to snacks are Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips, Stacey’s Pita Chips and Fiber One Bars. The first two satisfy my need for something crunchy and they are relatively low calorie. I divide them into ziplocs, so I don’t overdo it. And Fiber One bars almost taste like a candy bar, especially the chocolate and oats.

I lost 30 lbs early this year, stopped losing weight in the few weeks before my half marathon, but haven’t cleaned up my diet since the race, which was 5 weeks ago. I’ve been running a lot, and have maintained my weight but I haven’t lost any more. I want to lose another 20 lbs. I resumed tracking my food last week and I’m trying to make some changes to my diet so I can get losing again. It is getting hot out, so I’m trying to find ways to workout before work. I’m not a morning person, but I can get 3-4 miles done in the morning without too much trouble if I get to bed on time and have stuff ready to go.

@MrsBostonTerrier:  Do you keep track of your activity points?  They last all week.  I would say if you are having a hard time on weekends, plan for it by saving your activity points for the 3 days.  Allow yourself to splurge, but still track your points.  If you really want to go the extra mile, get out and do some activity on the weekends (it gets you out of the house and not eating in boredom and you can get more activity points!)  Aim to use less and less activity points as the weeks progress.  Good Luck!
