Recap: SO and I just moved in together two weeks ago after almost 8 years of dating (we’re both 27).
We haven’t been on a date in a couple of weeks due to preparing for the move–packing, etc. Sunday (yesterday) we decided to go to the movies (one of our favorite past times) to see “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” We’re new to our town, so we went to a new movie theater close by that happened to be in a big shopping center. After the movie, which we loved, we decided to walk around and see what shops were in the center. As we ambled along, we came upon a Kay Jewelery store. I jokingly said, “Let’s go in.” To my surprise, he agreed. He went straight for the engagement rings and asked to see and I quote: “The 3/4 carat princess cut solitaire in white gold, tiffany setting, size 7.” GASP. I was stunned to say the least because I had no idea that he’s been seriously looking at rings. The salesman helped us, SO asked a couple of questions, took his card, and we left. BEAMING!!
Fast forward to last night, we were crawling in to bed and he says, “this was a good week. We should do this over and over again for the next 50 years or so.”
swoon….ON CLOUD 9!
