Welcome, new members!  I’m Jessie and I got married last May to the coolest guy on the planet.  I’m the Hive Hostess for the Beauty and Detroit Boards.  I love movies, TV, music, sports and more!

I think my hidden talent would be that I’m freakishly good at board games.  I HATE to lose and I rock on pretty much any board game there is!  Even if I’ve never played it before, I am almost always good at it.

My other hidden talent is my knack for remembering names.  Once I hear someone’s name, I never forget it.

Welcome everyone!  I hope you enjoy your time at WB as much as I have!

Hi all! I’m not new to the ‘bee, but I didn’t sign up till today. My hidden talent? Definately how much cookie dough that won’t ever reach the oven, but end up in my stomach when I bake πŸ˜‰

I know I kind of introduced myself on another link, but I like question of a hidden talent.

I am still waiting..oh hum.. Christmas came & went, along with New Years.  I’m hoping for my b-day (at the end of the month) or the cruise in March.  I know its coming from little slips that he has made (that I have pretended not to notice) and that fact that HE wants to watch wedding shows on tv at night with me.

Anywho..my hidden talent is I have majorly good hip-turn out.  I can do a split up straight up the wall.  Then take my leg that is up on the wall and drag it back down the wall to a standing position without moving the rest of my body.

I also have an uncanny talent of figuring out presents. I don’t think that I haven even been surprised by a gift. I can pick up a gift, feel it, say that I think it is and unwrap it-even if its not mine.  I have been doing this since I was a little kid.

  • Wedding: September 2011

I’ve been lurking for awhile, but just signed up.  My partner and I have been together for almost 3 years, living together for most of that time, and got engaged last month.  We’re not planning to get married until late summer 2011 and I’m really just looking for general ideas at this point, as he’s not going to want to do any work until after he writes his PhD qualifying paper (due in June).

We sort of have a general geographic location (New York or New England).  A general idea of how big it will be.  Know that we want a short, secular ceremony, and a full on blow-out party, but nothing too formal.  My parents are being evasive on telling me how much they’ll help (their words “we’ll discuss when we know how much it costs” which sounds possibly generous but very unspecific).  About the only things we know for sure is that neither of us are changing our names and there will be an open bar.

My secret talents are boggle and push-ups.

  • Wedding: October 2010

hi everyone!!!  I’ve been lurking for the past few weeks and finally decided to join yesterday.  My Fiance and I have been together for little over 3 years and engaged since July.  We are planning a rustic fall wedding for Oct 2010.

Now that I have your attention, can someone answer a question for me?  Do only certain members have the ability to “blog”?  Also, the ‘Write a Post’ icon (top right), is this for Boards?  Like if I have a question, is this how I post it??

Hidden talents….hmmmm, well I’ve often been told that I’m freakishly strong.  I guess my cheerleading stunting days have paid off πŸ˜‰

Hello!  I’ve been looking at weddingbee for a while and finally decided that it was time to sign up.  My fiancee and I have dated since highschool.  We are currently doing the long distance thing since I’ve moved to a different state fir school.  No final date is set for the wedding but we are hoping for June.  We plan to go back to home to Guam for the wedding.  We are thinking a small dinner for the immediate family and then a laid back bbq for the other relatives and friends.

Hmmmm…talents?  I’m with danish student – I have the amazing ability of rapid brownie consumption.

Hi Everyone!  I have been lurking for a few weeks now, and just recently got engaged and decided to sign up!  My fiance and I are planning a wedding for May. June or July 2011.  My sister is also engaged and getting married in October 2010. I have found this site to be fun and very helpful with planning ideas.

I can’t really think of any hidden talents, but in addition to my full time job as a counselor/prevention specialist I also work part time in the Bakery department at a local grocery store (Wegmans) decorating cakes.

HI!  My name is Erin and I am a July 17, 2010 bride-to-be!  I’m very excited!

My Fiance and I met at work and were drawn to each other right away…I had to ask him out because he was too shy, but gave enough subtle hints for me to go on.

We moved in with each other right away…CRAZY, but one of the best decisions I have ever made.  We are 11 years apart, but the same age in soul we always say.

I am finishing up college in May and have a full time job as a billing clerk/customer service rep for FedEx Freight and I also am a Mary Kay beauty consultant on the weekends.

I like to keep busy…in the summer we go boating and in the winter we snowmobile.

We just adopted a dog in June named Dre–he’s the larges yellow lab I have ever seen, but the biggest baby!

As far as hidden talents–I am the jack of all trades people say–don’t know if that counts as a talent, but I like to think it does.

Hi Everyone!!! I can admit that I have been lurking also for the past two weeks and finally decided to join last night! I am soooo excited to start planning. I proposed to FH on NEW YEARS EVE and boy was he shocked. After some silence—ok felt like eternity to me he said of course! We havent set a date yet but I am shooting for Oct even though July would be better with our families schedules. No ring yet since I proposed but next weekend we are going ring shopping. I think its better this way since he was very worried he would pick out something that I wouldnt like even though truly it doesnt matter to me!!! Ok whats my hidden talent! I would say my FH says I have eyes in the back of my head because I can always catch my 9 month old getting into something right away! Boy does she move!!! LOL

  • Wedding: August 2010

Hey hive!

Oh man I’ve been lurking here for ages but have finally come out of the woodwork now that my own august 14, 2010 wedding is coming up! mr. BE and i have been together for a whopping 9.5 years since college, and engaged for two by the time the wedding rolls around. you could say as many of our friends do, its about darn time!

i’m super embarassed to admit this, but i.suck.at.wedding.planning. there i said it. between teaching full time and graduate school at night, wedding planning took a backseat. by the time the new year rolled around and i realized we only have 8 months until the wedding, it was already too late to stop the panic attack.

so my dear hive, i need help or this summer wedding will crash and burn big time! so far, we have a wedding venue (ceremony and reception) and a photographer. and thats about it. i’m narrowing down colors and have started the wedding dress search but nothing has screamed “you want to get married in ME!”

ok that was way longer than i anticipated, but it felt good. man i should have done this earlier. thanks in advance ladies!

Hey y’all! I’m Layla, I live in Atlanta, and I’m way too southern for this below freezing weather nonsense that’s going on right now. I wasn’t built for this! On the other hand, it IS a good excuse to eat as much as possible to “insulate” myself. πŸ˜‰

I recently wed the hottest bald guy you’ve ever seen, and I’m excited about the changes the new year is already bringing! My hubs is being promoted, I may have an interview for a new job (YAY!), and I’m startin’ it off married, what more could a girl ask for? πŸ™‚

Special talent….daaaaaaaaang… okay, well, it’s gross but I can burp any grown man under the table. And yes, I HAVE won money doing so. Sad, so very sad. Embarassed

  • Wedding: October 2010

Hey everyone joined last night.  Love these boards…I couldn’t figure out the ones on the knot and I used to work in IT!  Anyway, I got engaged in October and am getting married in Charleston on 10/16/10.  Me and my fiance currently live in Philly but we would LOVE to move to Charleston in the next few years so we figured let’s start by getting married there.

Hmmm special talent. I do a good E.T. impression.  My latest…making homemade pasta and ravioli yum!
