Okay, so this is kind of random, but does anyone happen to know what the weight limit usually is for the folding white wooden garden chairs?

I hadn’t even thought about it, but I was talking chairs with my mom and she asked bringing up the 1 or 2 of our guests are on the heavier side (350ish?). I can probably ask the caterer, but I just wondered if anyone knew or had experience using them with someone heavier. They seem pretty sturdy and I’m guessing it’ll be fine as long as no one is jumping on them.

@ziggy86: They had to magically reinforce Hagrid’s chair at Fleur and Bill’s wedding. Um…just saying.
Anyway, you could ask the caterer and get an actual answer…=)

I’ve never thought of it. Maybe brining them out sturdier chairs, and letting them discretely that they are for them.

Yeah I guess I’ll ask, such an akward question though. I’m not really sure what the alternative is even. It would be embarssing to them I’m sure to get a “special” chair.

Not as embarrassing as breaking a chair. ( I’m a big girl and would prefer a sturdier chair…)

@nyscpa2be: wait are you saying 250 is the max? oh goodness

250-350 sounds about right. When my Future Brother-In-Law came to my moms for a bbq we had to go buy a 2 person bench and put plywood underneath so it wouldnt sink into the grass. The nice thing was he could share his bench with his daughters which made things a lot less ackward.

Ek! Yeah, my fiance weighs over 250. I come from a pretty big and tall family (lots of football players) so I’m worried we might have several that exceed that. Time to talk to the caterer.
