@cas90:  Hi there,

Try not to get too overwhelmed. I think it’s probably one of the worst things you can do because stress inhibits weight loss due to elevated cortisol levels, and it also moved a person into a state of complacancy because the stress makes you feel unable to achieve any real success. So remember, it IS possible if you are willing to be incredibly stict with yourself. Also, recognize that you can only do so much at 12 weeks out, so 2 stone might be a stretch, but you may be able to get close (particularly if you follow the plan I am following)

This is my plan that I have been doing for about a week:

RAW Meal (from Garden of Life) Vegan Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake

I take a half portion of this shake 7-8 times per day for a total calorie intake of 1190-1360 cals per day. It’s just one scoop of power to 8oz of water and it’s raw vegan nutrition.

This is an all liquid diet, so trust me when I say that it DOES take will-power, and it also takes the ability to get away from food and watching other people eat. It is a very filling shake, but the urge to chew your food is still alive and well, so that makes it difficult. Also, the taste is not the best, and so I basically just chug my shakes as fast as I can so that I can save myself from the raw spout-like after taste.

This is the absolutely the best meal replacement shake I could find as far as nutritional support, and for that reason I feel safe eating it exclusively and knowing that it will be incredibly healthy for me. (I did want to say that I don’t work for this company or anything, so what I am saying here is based on my personal experience and the research I have done).

I have been on this plan for just under a week and I plan to stay on it up until my wedding at the end of July. I also plan to do about an hour of exercise 3-4 times a week, depending on my schedule and what not.

I have felt a LOT better since I started this plan! I feel more full of energy and vitality, and my digestive system is more regulated as far as colon well-being.

I believe with this plan you can expect to lose about 2-3lbs a week, some weeks more, some weeks possible less.

I bought my first shake mix can from amazon, but I plan to buy the rest from ebay because if you buy bulk they have a huge discount. It’s anywhere between $35-$29 per canister, and you can expect one of them to last 4 days if you drink 7 shakes a day. This is actually quite reasonable when you consider that you will literally buy no other food but this shake for yourself.

I used this listing today to buy 4 canisters of the shake because it was the best value I could find (I don’t know this lister either btw): http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-4-Garden-of-Life-CHOCOLATE-Raw-Meal-Replacement-2-7-lb-LOT-OF-4-/151025254972?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2329ce823c

I hope this information is helpful for you, or somebody else reading! I think it all depends on how much you really want to lose, and how far you’ll go to get there. One of the nice things about this diet is that you don’t feel hungry and you have a ton of energy, plus you are really doing it a healthy way!

Here’s a picture of RAW Meal:

I wanted to come to back amend my previous comment about the use of RAW Meal.

I spoke to my doctor and he said that this product is very good, and he hasn’t ever seen one quite like it and he totally approves of it’s use. But he did say that I would be better off to eat one regular healthy meal a day because if I don’t I will plateau. He said it would be reasonable to expect somebody to lose 10lbs within the first 10 days or so, and then their metabolism would down-regulate and keep you from losing any more weight.

So, as a change, I am going to eat one balanced meal per day that will hopefully be less than 500 calories, and then get my calorie count up to 1,200 by drinking roughly 4 shakes a day (at 1/2 servings).

@cas90:  Weight Watchers. If you follow the plan, you can absolutely lose 12+ lbs in 12 weeks. That is a healthy pace.

I’ve lost about 1.1-1.5 lbs per week since starting in late January, for a total loss of 23 lbs.
