@Katieann123engaged:  myfitnesspal is wonderful ; ) ive been slacking off on dieting but my wedding is 10 months away and i have found myself in full gear diet mode ; ) heres what im doing

breakfast: oatmeal as soon as i wake up.

lunch: turkey/chicken sandwich for lunch on 12 grain bread

dinner: chicken with sowfflower oil (the oil burns belly fat and its working) with frozen bag veggies and 2 times a week i will have brown rice with it.

snacks: lite yogurt, raw fruit and veggies and of course coffee

i have no sugars, salt, pasta (unless its whole wheat once a week as a treat)

its been working for me and the myfitnesspal makes me want to stay under my 1,200 calories a day. when you see it in black and white it motivates you. also i go to the gym 5 times a week

i do the treadmiil on a high incline (you burn way more calories that way i do a 6.0-10 incline for 40 min but i break it up in to 2 20 min setions its easier that way and i burn over 400 calories. i have a wedding dieting group on facebook if you would like to join message me and i will give you the web page ; ) were all brides dieting together

@Katieann123engaged:  I wanted to lose like 5 pounds… Then I lost 20!

I’m 5’7″ and went from 142 to 122! I picked up running and ate more veggies!

I actually ran my first half marathon 6 days before our wedding!

I use My Fitness Pal too.

I do oatmeal with honey and cinnamon for breakfast. Lunch is usually a boxed meal like Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers, and then supper is a healthy protein like chicken, ground turkey, or salmon. My Fitness Pal gives me control over what I eat, but I have to stay with calorie range. I have lost 25 pounds. I suggest giving it a try!

Stick to a diet of no/low carbs (no bread/rice/pasta) and no dairy.  I also stopped drinking all soda.  In 2010, I lost 20 lbs doing this.  I started back on it at the 6-month mark to my wedding and have already lost 8 lbs (started May 23)!  If you stick to it, the weight literally falls off.

Breakfast – vanilla protein powder with spinach, almond butter, banana and water/ice – the almond butter really sustains you

Lunch – salad with grilled chicken or “burrito bowl” with lettuce instead of rice on the bottom and no cheese/sour cream

Dinner – Fish/beef/chicken with any seasoning/sauce (I buy Trader Joe’s frozen asian stuff all the time) and eat it with a side of veggies/salad

Treat – Apple or dark chocolate covered pomegranates, just in moderation

If you like eating dessert, try Skinny Cow or Frutarre bars!  They’re yummy, and 150 calories or less.  They seriously don’t taste low cal.  Yoplait has frozen yogurt bars too that are low cal.

Something I’ve noticed that really helps me is drinking a full glass of water before and after every meal. And if I think I’m hungry, I’ll drink a glass of water and wait about 15 minutes before deciding if I really need a snack.

@Katieann123engaged:  4 lbs? That’s it? You got this, girl…just eat twice as many veggies (replacing carbs and crap), drink 3 times as much water, and work out a bit more (or harder) than you currently are.
