Hey!

I want to lose a whole heap of weight so I’ll keep you updated on my progress and hopfully I can have some help staying motivated! I’m aiming for around 40lb which should be do-able in over the next 2 years as long as I stick at it!!

I’ve started doing p90x but it’s such a huge time commitment every day I don’t see it lasting long – although you see improvements really quickly. If I didn’t have to walk out dog every morning and night when I want to be doing the workout I don’t think it would be such a big deal.

I’m going to plan a diet this weekend that I can stick to long-term! I’m not even going to start looking at dresses until I’ve lost at least 20lbs. I’m probably going to go for something A-line though, I don’t want anything too figure hugging 🙂

I think I commented on that post you mentioned – she must be so happy with herself, she has definintely inspired me!

Keep me up to date with how you’re doing (I’ll follow your blog too)!

Good luck!!!!

I lost 28 lbs within 9 months using weight watchers. I hardly had time to go to the gym as often as i wanted to with school & work but it helps you eat better and the lbs just start melting off. The first week you lose about 3-4 lbs and it helps keep you motivated. The problem I have is maintaining it.  I’ve gained about 5-10lbs back and Im working on it now again.

I’m using SparkPeople right now and find it has been really helpful. Like WB, it’s nice to have a supportive community around you when you are doing something that is very challenging and emotional. Plus it’s free and with the wedding and me being out of work right now, free is about all I can afford!

I started on August 11, 2012 and I’ve lost 35 pounds so far – the trick is that it really has to be the #1 priority in your life. I eat between 1200-1500 calories a day and work out at least 5 times a week.

Planning and preparation go a long way in seeing success – if you really want to do it and are willing to put in the time and effort, you will succeed!

@ProlificPrincess:  I hear you. Once I lost the weight, I cancelled my subscription and gained some weight back.  I got scared & joined again lol…I do it online because it’s only $18 a month versus the almost $50 to go to meetings which I don’t have time for anyway…Keep us updated on how your plan is working 🙂

I lost about 40 pounds in 4 months on the Dukan diet. I love it. I can pretty much eat what I want now and I have maintained my loss for 5 months. It’s high protein, low fat, low sugar. Check it out. It works!

MyFitnessPal is awesome! I’ve been using it for about 3.5 weeks and I’ve lost 10lbs… AND I don’t feel as restricted as I do on most diets, because if I’m craving something, I’ll just save “spread out” calories over the course of a few days, or a week (depending on what it is) and treat myself to it, while still keeping under my weekly goal.

Keeping up with the food journal felt slightly annoying at first, but after a few days I really got used to it, and now I actually feel the compulsion to do it – I even get (very mild) anxiety if I don’t log every item I eat! I absolutely love it!

I would like to lose 10 – 15 lbs, I’m currently at 135 and 5’4″. I ordered a very sleek trumpet style gown…it’ll look a lot better if I lose 10, but I’m afraid it’ll be way too big then because they ordered a bridal size 10. BUT, I’d rather be the size I want and have to get another dress if it came down to it. I have 11 months to lose the weight.

@RiverBride13:  My parents did it and it worked just as well for them! And they weren’t hungry all the time either. And they have a great plan to help people maintain their weightloss. Great diet!
