I chose my dress back in December 2016 and since then have lost almost 20 lbs and have lost 2-3 inches off my bust, waist, and hips. My wedding date is September 2nd and I anticipate that I can lose another 10 or so pounds by then.
I have my first dress fitting tonight and know that it will need to be taken in. Has anyone continued to lose weight after startign to have their dress fitted. Wondering if I should ask the seamstress about putting in a lace up back so it can be adjustable or just let her know I am still losing weight and might need her to take it in more?

A good seamstress can do pretty much anything. Don’t worry, just find a seamstress who has great reviews. 🙂

I told my seamstress I was losing weight at my first fitting… she went ahead and altered the dress to fit where I was at and then left plenty of time for me to continue losing. I think it was taken in two or three times before the final fitting! You’ll be fine, just be sure to communicate with your seamstress. And you can’t anticipate where you’ll lose weight from (mine ended up being all bust and waist, but not hips) so you never know how or where you’ll need to be altered 🙂
