I think you look AMAZING healthy and sexy the way you are! I wouldn’t push to lose any more weight but if you do just by being healthy and active I think the corset back gives you the flexibility of a size up or down. =D

    you look amazing!!

I understand though – I’m 7 lbs from my goal – 18 down for the year though! but the wedding is a week away and alterations are done and it fits perfectly, so been told to not put on or lose anything. It’s hard though because you’re so used to dieting you want to keep going!

you have a lot of time though…if you do lose a few pounds (you may not even lose on purpose!) that will help for sure 🙂

That dress is so pretty and I think you look amazing in it now!

When I was dress shopping I was told that it takes losing about 20-25lbs the actually drop a dress size. I lost about 8lbs between when I ordered my dress and when I got it and while it did need to taken in, it was because I ordered a size up to account for my boobs.

Anyway, are you concerned about the cost/time of alterations? You have plenty of time, so I suggest that if you want to lose that extra 10lbs, you keep exercising and dieting and when you dress actually comes in, then you can decided if you need/want to continue losing weight.

The dress is gorgeous.  Your body is beautiful.  You don’t appear to need to lose any weight.

Personally, I would still try to reach my goal. I would much rather look back at my pictures and feel successful rather than disappointed. You have plenty of time for weight loss and alterations, and chances are 10 pounds won’t make that big of a difference dress-wise.

First of all, you look great already, but if it is your goal, I say try to loose the weight.  As someone who has worked to loose, then regain, then loose again those last 10 pounds I say stick with your goal.  I still fit most of my clothes.  Anything from 5-10 pounds are called “vanity pounds” because they don’t usually change your your size.  Instead, you just look more trim, toned, and fit.  And you’ll feel more confident for the photographs which is what every bride whats on their wedding day.  Plus, you’ve got the corset as back up security.

    Correct!

I think you should lose the rest of the weight and reach your ultimate goal. MsPoodles is right, you might look back and be a bit disappointed that you didn’t push for those pounds when you had the time to do it!

Do you have enough time that you can lose 10 pounds, get your dress, see if it effects alterations and then if need be, gain some back?

Also, the sample may have stretched a bit with a variety of brides trying it on, so your new dress may be a bit tighter to start with too.

That said, you look amazing, and slender in the photo, you don’t need to lose anymore weight for looks. You’ve got ’em. 🙂

I say go for it!  30 lbs. of weight loss is amazing, but if your goal is 10 lbs more, if it is within a healthy range, I say go for it!  Every bride wants to feel amazing and beautiful on their wedding day especially, so do what you have to do in order to see what everyone else sees.  You look good in that dress.  Good Luck!  Either way, you will be beautiful!

Samples usually are stretched out from lots of people trying them on. If you lose 10 lbs it’s likely the new one will fit perfectly.
