I’m on Weight Watchers, and I need a kick in the pants to get back on the plan.  My main motivation is my wedding day, but I also want to be in the best shape possible for when I have children.  So far, I’ve been rewarding myself with jewelry and shopping, since it’s the only thing I really want, lol.

I would start rewarding yourself for making smaller goals, such as something for every 5 lbs. you lose.  Good luck! 🙂

I know how you feel…I was on a good run since last spring and have lost 20 lbs but then fell off the wagon and haven’t worked out once in about a month (and ate a lot of crap).  Thankfully that only translated to about 2 lbs weight gain and I worked out today.  I use the Lose It! and Fitocracy apps on my iPhone to help me keep focused.  The Lose It! app is pretty much a food and exercise diary that tracks caloric intake and weight loss so you can see your progress and the Fitocracy app is like a game where you earn points and level up the more you work out.

@kjo:  Oh, back fat!  I have been taking pics of myself too (in sports bra/undies) to see the difference.  I am hoping to lose 10 more pounds in the next couple months and then focus the last few months before the wedding on my back and upper body.  I’m most self-conscious of my back and arms for the wedding dress.

While I wasn’t at my goal weight for my wedding, I did lose 37 lbs. the motivation for me was seeing pictures of myself. I hated the way I looked and there was no way I wanted to look that way in my wedding pictures…something I have to see for the rest of my life. At my heaviest I was 194, my goal was 130 (I had a year to lose) I am 5’3. I don’t know if you have people like me, but those that say you CAN’T do it, prove them wrong that you can and will. People love to see others fail. I also use MyFItnessPal and have friends and people I have never met on there who motivate me.

I love volunteering and donating anything I can to local charities. Theres an app called Charity Miles that will donate amounts of money to national charities for each mile you run, bike, or walk. It’s really helped me feel good about working out knowing that I’m helping someone else out by doing it.
