THANK YOU SO MUCH LADIES FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS!!! I FEEL JUST AS AMAZING AS I LOOK. TALK ABOUT IT HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF. I LOVE THE FEELING OF WAKING UP EVERY MORNING, LOVING THE PERSON I AM AND ESPECIALLY HOW I LOOK!!!
@ Amaryllis, ja7975,AND mogget : well at first I said, ok I have to do something. but i couldn’t find the motivation! WEll i actually stumbled upon the show the BIGGEST LOSER, I don’t know if ya’ll know of that show or not. I can honestly say that show REALLY saved my life. it actually made me want to get my a** of the sofa and get on an exercise machine. Within in that week, I joined my local gym. I have tried in the past to give up everything at once and I would ALWAYS give up. That was way too hard for me. So the first couple of wks i gave up just carbonated drinks. (for the first wk everyday i drank one sip of coke a day, i was a hardcore coke drink, and it was SO HARD to shake the habit) but after the first week, i was able to stop my one sip a day, then drinking water with every meal became a habit for me. I started at the gym at first 2times a wk. I hadn’t done any kind of exercise in i don’t know how long, and when i first started at the gym i could only go like 30min a day and I was completely exhausted. Next, I am a VERY picky eater. VERY. The only fruit i eat is a banana, and the only vegetable i eat is a potato. And I also eat RICE with EVVERY meal. So my meal plan was just to cut down entirely. Lets say I was eating 100% at every meal. In order to lose my weight, I cut my portions from 100%, down to eating only 25% of what I used to eat. There were nights that I went to bed hungry with my stomach growling. But somehow i did it. And when we decided to go out to eat. No appetizers, drank water, and only finished a portion of my meal, not the whole thing. And for fast food places, i would eat a happy meal with a water. As far the exercise, as each wk passed, I would add another day to my workout plan. Eventually i was up to 6-7days a wk. Thats when I started working out longer. In between 45-60min of cardio a day. In order to lose weight you need at least a hr of cardio workout in between 4-5times a wk. i just kept up with that for about 5 1/2mths. I lost about 55lbs in those 5mths.
Don’t get me wrong, every now and then i did cheat. but i didn’t go overboard. And when i did cheat i felt so bad that i worked harder the next day.
when you actually start seeing results, it gets you MORE motivated and you actually can’t wait to go to the gym, bc you enjoy going.
DO THIS: if you have an old pair of some sort of clothing that you used to be able to fit in ((which for me was my favorite pair of jean capris that i had gotten from american eagle)) Put it up somewhere that you know you would see everyday to be your emotion. Carry around an old “skinny” picture of you. whatever works for you to be a motivator.
i went from a size 18 to a now size 6/8. lost a total of 10 pants sizes. Feels amazing.
