Hi bees! I wanted to share a picture of my progress on the paleo diet/lifestyle. About a month and a half ago I went dress shopping with my maid of honor who is also getting married and Im her maid of honor! (Were cousins) lol Anyway, I tried on a dress and felt so uncomfortable with myself and the way I looked :/ I decided from then on I wanted to make a lifestyle change and a few weeks after trying on that dress I started the paleo diet on April 1st to be exact. It’s officially been 1 month and 4 days and here is a before and after of my results. It’s been extremely challenging but I believe it’s paying off. Yesterday, we went dress shopping for the first time since I took the initial picture and that is when I realized that my hard work is paying off. i hope this brings a little inspiration to those of you who are going through the same struggle and feelings I was experiencing. You CAN make a change even if it’s little. I can say that I am beginning to feel so much better about myself. And yes I was not by any means big before I started but I was uncomfortable with myself and now that I can see a change it’s pushing me to live a much more healthier lifestyle π please no negative comments. Thank you bees!! <3

The picture on the left is the first dress I tried on a month and a half ago and the picture on the right is from yesterday π

Wow you look great! Very motivating. Did you also add workouts to your diet? I don’t know how your diet was before, but did you have any sugar/caffeine withdrawals?

MrsBlessedOne: thank you! π this is purely based on diet and changing my eating habits. I have not incorporated exercise yet but I plan on starting to walk soon with my fiancé after dinner a few days out of the week and work my way up slowly. In the beginning, I did have some caffeine withdrawls since I drink coffee every morning and sometimes afternoon at work but my body is starting to get used to it now and I do allow myself to have some here and there. It was very hard to eliminate sugars since sugar is in a lot of things you don’t even know it’s in! Lol but luckily I’m not big on actual sweets so it wasn’t too bad. But when I do crave chocolate I have some dark chocolate with dried banana chips and almonds, best snack ever trust me! Haha it will satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth π are you also doing the paleo diet? I’m always curious to know what others are doing. I wish you luck on your journey!! You can do it π

No I’m not currently doing Paleo. I have tried many times and it was just too hard. I do intermittent fasting, it’s the only thing that keeps me from binge eating all day. I really need to try paleo again bc I will be ttc very soon and intermittent fasting wouldn’t be appropriate in pregnancy. One thing that didn’t help with trying paleo was cooking dinner for Darling Husband and I. Do you cook meals for Fiance with paleo lifestyle?

Oh my! What a great change! And in 1 month!
I’ve been on Nutrisystem since January and I hit a wall about a month ago… I completely stopped loosing and I’m not only getting discouraged but I’m beginning to “cheat”…. not good.
How much have you lost so far?
I need to do Paleo….but I don’t really understand it. I just see a bunch of recipes on Pinterest!

Congrats on the weight-loss. I’ve been doing primal(basically the same as paleo, with dairy) for 2 months now, and can also feel a big difference. I would say I’m about the same before and after size as you, so I can really relate. I’ve started exercising last week, so hopefully I can start to firm up now.

MrsBlessedOne: I totally understand what you mean. its been quite a challenge being that my fiance is not following the paleo diet with me, but ive been staying strong and what I do is make him his meal and then make mine. For instanc ill make him spaghetti and then ill try a new salad dressing recipe and have a chicken salad. Trying new paleo recipes has kept me motivated since I love to cook! and you’d be surprised how great some of them truly are! π

Barbiestylez: Thank you so much! π Honestly, ive been eating a lot of grilled chicken topped with avocado, alot of chicken salads and when im feeling creative i look up recipes on pinterest. I recently made Jalepeno poppers, and baby bell pepper poppers stuffed with chicken breast, the tiniest amount of organic goat cheese (my favorite, and a little wont hurt) and wrapped with bacon (which is surprisingly paleo, even thought you will have some people disagree, but there will always be someone who disagrees with everything lol) but its delicious and very yummy π I also made a very tasty salad dressing recently with 2 bunches of fresh cilantro leaves, 1 or 2 tiny serrano chiles (de-seeded), extra virgin olive oil, honey, cummin and a pinch of salt. Very refresshing with a hint of spice which makes it a bit different from an ordinary salad dressing and its great on top of a spring mix and grilled chicken! π Ive also been doing roasted chicken in the oven with baby carrots, extra virgin olive oil, onions, celery, garlic powder, paprika and a pinch of salt π Hope this helps. I have many more recipes if you ever need any! Just message me. A great snack/appetizer ive been making as well for myself and even my fiance is proscuitto wrapped asparagus. Its delicious and very simple! you can find it on pinterest or just simply google it. I hope this helps π and GOOD LUCK!!
